This course is primarily set up to work with students who need extra help learning the basic skills necessary to master algebra in the following year. I'm fortunate to have an aid working directly with students who need one on one instruction. This class has been reduced to around 16 students to accommodate those needing individual help on algebraic concepts. Areas of mastery are on mathematics in problem solving, communication, and reasoning. Math must be make practical to those who struggle in abstract concepts. Connections to the real world must apply is this regard. A computer program called "GeoSketchPad"  is used to better visualize many geometric concepts using linear equations, finding slopes, and plotting points.
